Historical Overview and Objectives

Founded in December 2016 with 17 members, Dunwoody Wildcat 5E is a student-led organization associated with the FIRST Robotics Competition, in which teams build robots that compete in area matches against other teams' robots.

​Our mission is to inspire future innovators and problem solvers by fostering a passion for science and technology through robotics.  We function much like a high tech startup company, providing students with practical experience in business and STEM, including in such fields as:

• Business planning and logistics
• Finance
• Project management
• Communications and social media
• Brand design and marketing
• Computer-aided Design (CAD) and coding (computer programming)
• Mechanical, materials, and electrical engineering
