FIRST® Robotics Competition 2018 Game:

FIRST POWER UP, the 2018 FRC game, includes two alliances of video game characters and their human operators who are trapped in an arcade game. Both alliances are working to defeat the boss in order to escape! Alliances gain points by placing power cubes to control the switches and the scale, unlocking power ups, and climbing the bar at the end of the match to face the boss.

Our 2018 Season

2018 was another amazing season for WildCat 5e. We had 25 team members, including 10 freshmen. We were honored to be mentored by the Georgia Tech Robojackets. They helped in all areas, including robot design, mechanical, electrical, CAD, scouting, and fundraising. 

We competed with our robot, Tilted Tower, in three qualifying competitions, qualified for the State Championship, and advanced to the World Championship. We finished the season with a record of 59-23-0 in official play and were ranked 5th in the Peachtree District with 252 points. Highlights of the season include winning our first Blue Banner as the Winning Alliance at the Dalton Event. We also won a Finalist Alliance Award, the Control Award, the Quality Award, and the Safety Award at the Duluth Qualifier and the State Championship.
